Two people were killed and two others injured in a shooting along Jetty Road next to Moss Landing State Beach in Monterey County, California, shortly before 2 a.m. Monday, the Monterey County Sheriff's Office said, CBS San Francisco reported.
Sheriff's spokesperson Cmdr. Andres Rosas said deputies found two people dead and a third injured; a fourth person arrived at a hospital after being shot. The victims were not identified, and there was no information on a motive or suspect. Rosas said the office did not believe there was an active threat to the community but did not rule out that a shooter was still at large.
"Our detectives are working to establish the circumstances surrounding what occurred," Sheriff Tina Nieto said, asking anyone with information to call 831-755-5111.
