Election Day Ran With Few Problems Despite Fears of Interference; Floods, Not Fraud, Caused the Biggest Disruptions

President Donald Trump had escalated efforts to interfere in how states run their elections in the weeks before Election Day, but the greatest fears of Democrats and voting rights groups did not come to pass, the Associated Press reported Wednesday.
The biggest problems were weather-related, the AP said: flooding in Florida and parts of the Southwest led to polling location changes. In New York's Westchester County, where some voters cast ballots in a competitive U.S. House race, malfunctioning scanners required ballots to be placed in secure bags for later counting.
After the results, Trump told Fox News that Democrats "did a good job" and that he was willing to work with them, UPI reported. Iran's parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, posted that Americans had said "NO TO WAR," NBC News reported.
